Menopause Yoga & Wellness Workshop – Anxiety & Overwhelm

Anxiety and overwhelm can feel all-consuming during perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause – often showing up unexpectedly and impacting both body and mind.

This nurturing workshop is designed to support you through these challenges using a combination of gentle, accessible practices that calm the nervous system and create a sense of inner steadiness.

Together, we will explore:

Breathwork techniques to soothe anxiety and regulate the body
Gentle yoga to release tension and reconnect with your body
Restorative yoga (fully supported with bolsters) to encourage deep rest
Mindfulness practices to quiet a busy mind and bring you into the present moment
You’ll be guided from movement into stillness, allowing space for your body to soften and your mind to settle.

This is a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can simply be – feeling seen, heard, and understood alongside other women on a similar journey.

✨ No previous yoga experience is needed – beginners are very welcome.

Many yoga postures are named after gods, goddesses, sages, heroes, animals, and cosmic forces. In this special workshop, we’ll explore the rich stories and symbolism behind some of yoga’s most beloved asanas, inspired by Dr. Raj Balkaran’s The Stories Behind the Poses.

Through storytelling, movement, reflection, and discussion, we’ll journey into the myths of Virabhadra, Hanuman, Garuda, Shiva, and other iconic figures whose stories continue to shape our yoga practice today. As we embody these postures, we’ll explore the timeless themes they represent – courage, devotion, transformation, wisdom, and resilience – and consider how they resonate in our own lives.

No prior knowledge of mythology is required. Suitable for curious yogis of all levels.

This workshop will blend movement with storytelling, open up moments of reflection and opportunities for discussion. Whether you’re drawn to yoga philosophy, mythology or you’re simply curious about the origins of the posture you practice, this workshop offers a deeper, meaningful connection to the yoga practice’s rich traditions.

Drawing on traditional Indian mythology can deepen appreciation for the cultural and philosophical roots of yoga while offering fresh inspiration for practice.

Hosted by Helen & Rachael…this spring wellness day will consist of Yoga flows (catered to all levels), Guided Meditation/Mindfulness, Qigong, Restorative Yin Yoga & a deep relaxing Yoga Nidra at the end to finish off the day, so you literally float out of the studio. This day will allow you to reconnect with your body and mind whilst taking some time out to rest, repair and relax!
